Man, did I have a great weekend! I was up in New York with some friends because NYCC was celebrating 100 years of Chiropractic.
The Finger Lakes is a beautiful place to spend a weekend this time of year.
While we were up there had to go back to Connie’s Diner. We would go there almost every Saturday morning for breakfast when we were in school over 20 years ago.
It’s your typical small-town greasy spoon. When we went in we were surprised to see that our favorite waitress Betty was still working there!
I thought she was pushing it when we were in school 20 years ago. Talk about being dedicated to your workplace.
Well, of course, we asked for her section and when she came over we asked, “do you remember us, Betty?”
Of course, she said, “yes!” (smart lady) 80+ years old and still working!
She told us she has been working at the diner for over 40 years. I love Betty!
NYCC (New York Chiropractic College) has changed a lot. School curriculum has changed and they are considering changing the name to “University of…” something.
I heard that Chiropractic is not going to be in the name. I just don’t get that one. Something that hasn’t changed up though is Betty.
